What is Optimal?

Optimal (pronounced op-ti-mail) is a permission based Opt-in/Opt-out e-mail marketing system designed for credit unions who want more control of their e-mail marketing and their budget. Today’s credit unions not only want to send information electronically, they also need to gauge the response to their marketing. Optimal permission based marketing does just that. “Permission” is gained by having members simply enter basic information about corresponding via e-mail.

Optimal uses a simple process:

  1. Identify visitors
    This is done by matching an e-mail address with a member name. Optimal uses a web-based form that enables the member to provide information right from the website.

  2. Build an e-mail campaign
    Once an adequate amount of addresses have been collected, an e-mail campaign is built for a specific product or service. This e-mail is then sent out to specified database addresses.

  3. Create and store customer information for “tracking”
    As recipients follow links within the e-mail piece, Optimal is able to “track” them. Optimal collects specific information for the credit union: who opened the e-mail; who followed what link; where did they go from there; etc.

  4. Reporting
    A secure area is provided where the credit union can see the collected information and reporting figures that correspond.
